How do I cite class notes in APA style?

I had to use some of the lecture slides for an essay I wrote and I’m not exactly sure how to cite class notes. I’ve been digging through various cites such as Purdue OWL and even Son of Citation, but I’m getting some conflicting answers. Has anyone else done this before? Any help would be much appreciated, as I finished my paper and all I have to do is figure this citation out then I can happily go back to being lazy.

Check with your lecturer before referencing lecture notes. … For this reason, they are only cited within the text and not included in the Reference List.

If it is a copy of an article or chapter or something, treat it as that. Or if it takes a point from a published source, use that source.
