Choosing a guitar

Hey, I’m planning to take on a guitar course this coming June and I’m not sure what guitar to get. I’ve been looking around for tips on how to choose a good guitar but I’ve been bombarded with unfamiliar terms .__. Is a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR good for me? Or someone mind going through the terms to me [[Tuners, Bridge, Frets etc]]? Oh, I’m also planning to stick to the guitar for a looongg time.

And er, is the electric guitar hard to learn? :S

it doesnt matter what kind of guitar you get to start out, but get something cheap too many times have I seen people come into our store buy something really expensive then try to return it 3 months later because “hes just not that into it”

of course if you already know you love it (like I did) go for something you would want to play live and be proud of, my first guitar was an epiphone double neck SG because I wanted to look awesome on stage

again on the I ALREADY LOVE GUITAR, look around for different body designs, at first I loved gibsons but then I later realised that the shapes they had were too regular and I looked into a dean

here are some websites that you should look at: www.epiphone.com www.deanguitars.com www.ibanez.com www.gibson.com

It really depends what music your more likely to play along to.. if your into to heavy rock/metal and want to play these songs, get an electric guitar, but if you like more acoustic songs get an acoustic. Also think about price, you dont want to splash out loads if you then decide after a few weeks you dont like playing.

Answer #3

it depends what style your gonna be playing, for blues or rythym a Fender is good, for lead a Gibson, for lead with crazy solos a Jackson but if you go to a guitar store they can explain it all to you and find a guitar that fits you

Answer #4

I though acoustic guitars kill your fingers :S

Answer #5

If your just starting dont choose an electric guitar it’ll kill your fingers and you play it differently just choose an acustic guitar it dosen reali matter which one just as long as it feels right to you

Answer #6

Answer #7
