chihuhua puppies

How many puppies do chihuhua have and if they have more than one do they have them right after the other?

they usually av about 1 or 2 and they HAVE to av a c-section becuase their birth canal is not big to pass puppies through

you can never guess how many puppies a chihuahua is going to have and you don’t know if they will need a c-section or not, My female had 3 her first litter and One her second and that had to be a c-section. It can take hours for a dog to have puppies, the rule of thumb is, if a mother is pushing activly for more then 15-20 min. you need to get her to a vet. My female took about 1 1/2 hours in between her pups. Now to make sure how many and if a c-section is needed then you should get a x-ray done towards the end of the pregnacy and always breed a bigger female to a smaller male
