chihuahua pregnant

ok I know my dog is pregnant she is due very soon. my question is that… Her temp. has dropped to 98.7 then went back up to 99.5 and she is showing NO signs of whelping yet. she is just resting a lot, she is not sheding paper or hiding or anything. I do have a whelping box for her and all the supplies including emerengcy vet number so now what?

Call the vet and try getting the vet to come over and help you. There is probably nobody on here who is a veternarian. Try looking up chihuahua birth on google.

when a dogs temp is that low that means she will have the pups within 24 hours so keep and eye on her

do you take her temp twice a day at the same time? if so and you noticed this difference and she is close to her due date then I would expect puppies anywhere between 24 to 72 hours. She may start to sleep a lot, my female chihuahua woke me up about 4:30 am and acted like she had to poop, then I laid on the floor with her near her whelping box around 6am, she started pushing around 8:30 am and had her first puppy at 9:15am. So it can be a long process, you just want to make sure she is not activley pushing and nothing happens in about 1/2 hours, if so she may have issues and need to see a vet or have a c-section done, I always reccomend with this breed to have x-rays done around 58-62 days into gestation so you know how many and if they can pass the pelvic area.
