Cd player in my car?

So my car only came wit a stupid tape player. Haha fuuuk that, So I bought this cd player for it and I went to these one guys who tried hooking it up but it didnt work. Its like really messed up cause they cut a bunch of wires. So my man tried fixing it and he got it to work but not the right way. Instead of hooking up the wires like you should, he hooked em up to the battery in the car. Thats the only way its working. Otherwise im guna have to buy a $80 kit and I dont got the money for that right now. But do you think theres anything to worry about from the music running off the battery?

If it works I guess it will do the trick for now, I wouldn’t keep it going for too long because I’m sure you don’t want to make it use up your car battery. $80 for a kit really isn’t much, it will be worth saving up for.
