Can you catch an std from a baby if the parent contracted it during birth?

I’ve been doing some reading and I’ve learned that if the parents have an std then it’s possible to spread it to the baby….so I’m curious if someone was changing a babies dipper, could they catch the disease from skin contact? And I’m not talking about any one std in particular because as we should all know there are millions such as:hpv, hsv, hcv, molluscum contagiosum, genital warts, herpes, syphalis, gonareah, clemitia ect…and some of those you can catch just from skin contact and not from sex. So is it possible to catch an std from skin contact of an infected baby?

Answer #1

herpes and HPV can be transmitted from skin contact but i dont know if it still counts when the skin that is from your hand, not your genitals. Possibly yes because you can get oral infections that way. Most other STIs are spread via body fluid, not skin-skin contact

Answer #2

The thing is, if a baby had an STD, it would most likely have been treated for it. So although I suppose technically it is possible, it is unlikely just because the baby would probably have already been treated or still be in the hospital.
