cartilage infection

I got the top of my ear pierced and it hurts its red and swollen and also I have a kinda big bubble on the back of me ear, is that an infection or what?

it’s an infection, or I think it might be scare tissue. I have one right now because I gaged my cartilage with a thick earring, and the I can’t pop the bubble. I tried heating it and popping it and everything. It won’t go away. I just read something that said to take a couple asprin and add a little water to it in a cup, until it’s a paste. Then put it on the bubble, and it should go away or become popable. So try that!

if you got it peirced by some inexpirienced idiot at a salon or mall who uses the gun yes, its probably an infection especially if its recent you wouldnt get much swelling with an ear peircing usually and you wouldnt get a bump unless you got a keloid but those usually come around a month after getting the peircing if you got it done with the gun dont go back becasue they dont know anything about peircings soeither take it out or ask a doctor if its infected

the bumb is probably a keloid try a hot compress with sea salt and see if that gets rid of it

yes, it is an infection. I would either wash it out ever day, or go to the place and ask them what you should do!
