carbon monoxide? or gas?

well like on I saturday I was at this thing going on at church and well I noticed people leaving the place but I didnt quite catch on at the moment until I saw the place fog up a bit and well I would of never imagined that it was smoke so, well as normal I inhaled it..and wow..the first whip I got of it I was like literally immediatly dizzy I felt like if I was going to pass out..why did that happen? was it like a really bad gas? later on I found out that the heater caught on fire..yea weird..anywhoo..yea what was up with that?

carbon monoxide is not visible, and it doesnt work that fast… it was probably just smoke…

simple smoke, thats why firemen keep oxygen tanks with them when they fight big fires. basically the smoke replaces the oxygen in your lungs (it blocks the little holes that take in O2) and so you get dizzy cause no oxygen get to your brain… next time dont inhale smoke,
