Why does candy make you twitch?

Me and my boyfriend just got done eating alot of candy. And now we can’t sit (well were sitting,…watching V for Vendetta but were twitching)still becasue were twitching and having random movenments. Pain is having spasms with his leg and he kicked me(jackazz -.-). It’s just odd.
