Can my friend go to jail for going on webcam with strangers online?
Ok so here’s the story. My friend went to chatroom and she before went to this chat room looking for people to go on cam. She went on cam too and showed her private areas and then suddenly this message popped up and said that she been banned from the site because of her behavior and depending if it was severe ths site is going to contact the authorities and her ISP. She is scared she might go to jail. She is not blocked from accessing other rooms on the site it’s just the room she been blocked from. Please help
I dont think anything is going to happen especially if she asked if they were a minor and if they said no than nothing should happen she had no idea, her parents will not contact her she is twenty and they dont have her full name/ phone number, no worries just be careful next time there are weirdos out there!
She probably violated the terms of service agreement. Most sites prohibit sexual content and nudity due to the fact that there are probably minors using the site.
It’s within that site’s rights to alert the authorities, but they generally don’t for first time offenders.
Tell her she in trouble and should have neaver done that ,they will be calling her perents,trust that
She is 20 and went looking for cam on the site before but she made sure it wasn’t a minor she was talking too.
Well depends how old she is. Who she showed. Im sure her parents are going to be notified.
