Can Anyone Help Me De-Stress?

I’m raising 2 kids under 2. I just started a new job. For the past couple of weeks I have been overwhelmed with housework. Yeah, did I mention my estranged husband who is living in another state with his mistress (Seperation Papers Are Filed). Oh and my mother-in-law sees it as my sole purpose on life to ‘fix’ her son and get him to stop ruining his life. I feel like I am in over my head and my heart is still taking the blow from my husbands continuous infidelity. I just need to stop stressing out but I can’t seem to find the time and I’m not even sure what will help!

First - accept that it is not your job to fix anyone and, if need be, move on and find a man who will stand by your side and help you raise those kids.

Second - hire a babysitter and treat yourself to a night out with friends

The job and housework will always be there, no matter what, but perhaps you can ask a friend to come over and watch the kids while you soak in a nice hot bath…sometimes, you need to be able to relax or the stress will become unbearable.

well whenever im stressed and panicky I start singing You Are My Sunshine. I just remember it from when I was a little kid and how happy it is. I guess that might work if you really have no time. its silly I know :)

ichi gave you all the same advice I’d give you…you have to give YOURSELF a break…and only you are able to do that.

Of course you can’t fix your ex…the only person you have the ability to change is yourself…Bet it’s tempting to tell mother-in-law…you molded the monster YOU fix him :)…

Housework never goes anywhere, it’s always there when you get back to it…so do get yourself out for an evening with friends…nothing is going to go to hell in a few hours…honest.
