C= help!!!

I really want to become a singer. But I dont know the first step to take? I live in Iowa and I hear you cant become a singer here. I’ve been to California like for a week or more. I really want this more then anything I cry because I know I cant become it because my friends think its a waste of time and my cousins think its stupid and there scared of singing infront of people. I really dont care about the money you get when you are a singer I just care about singing in front of fans on the stage with the lights I had a brother but my mom had a miscarriage before I was born so hes not here. I right down songs like my mom and dad tell me to but I forget the beat and its very hard makeing them up. I wanted to become a singer since I was like 4 and im 14 now. please help me. I wont make stupid choices like some people do I want go to a guys house and there fake I really want this. please give me advice or something I know I wont go to the top all in one day it takes time but I will take that time to see where I go.
