It’s oxygenated blood, or very very old blood. Often times, also, women get cysts on their ovaries that pop at random times and leak a brownish fluid down the fallopian tubes. But at any rate, go see a gynecologist as soon as you can.

How long ago was your last period? It could still be old blood from it. If not, how brown is it? Is it the consistency of discharge? Maybe you had a small cut down there, and the blood dried up to a brownish color.
