If you’re talking about music that HAS breakdowns, or something that’s Straight up breakdowns?

Anything with breakdowns, you have metalcore and deathcore really. Classic hardcore never had breakdowns, it was all about the two-stepping.

In general, a breakdown is just a core kid term for a musical break. Aka time may change, some instruments quiet down, and if there are vocals, they usually just repeat the same thing.

It’s also characterized by open palm muted riffs on the guitar, which are nice and heavy. A breakdown is generally what you get hella brazy too, and start getting down>
