Break up over texting

Breaking up via text is probably the worst way to break up, next to having your friend text your gf/bf to break up with them for you. It’s so insulting… it’s like they don’t care about you enough to put any effort into breaking up. She should be mad at him… but honestly, if her boyfriend didn’t care enough to actually talk to her, then he’s not good enough for her. She should be glad to be rid of him!

As a guy, this is the most cowardly way to leave a relationship… but it happens. For the most part it’s not to spite the “other” but rather an avoidance of an awkward situation.

You hit the nail right on head with this one, but anger is what she really is feeling now. It’s just because how this went down, she is doubting a lot stuff about herself which I guess is natural.

I agree, but I am also leaning that he was seeing someone else as well. His FB profile page indicated lots of parties and new people while he was generally avoiding her at the time.

I think it is the most cowardly way out because the guy doesn’t have to see how bad he is hurting the girl and that he obviously lacks the respect to tell her something that is that important to her face, in person instead of relying on technology to deliver the final blow. I feel that text message breakups are an extremely low blow
