I am looking for fun finger foods that have not been done before. I also would like to keep cheap. Any ideas?
This one always wins-- Cut baby red potatoes (smaller the better) in half and toss with olive oil. Place them face-down on a pan and bake around 350 until cooked and face-down area is browned. Remove the potatoes and scoop out the center with a melon baller or spoon. Dispose of the insides however you like.
Next, mix sour cream, minced bacon, chives, salt, pepper, and a dab of plain yogurt and place the mixture in a pastry bag. Fill the potato halves with the mixture and chill. Voila -- bite-sized potato snacks.
