yeah its pretty safe backpacking in Oz…yeah a lot of the hostels are fairly cheap (approx under $25 Aust. dollars) but you will be without all the motel or hotel amenties eg: your own bathroom etc.

if you have sufficient funds to go backpacking then I reckon it would be awesome fun, I know there are casual fruit picking jobs available if you run out of money but you would need a short working visa to apply for these.

my ex and I were thinking of going to Britain for our backpacking adventure but the plan is on hold til the silly man can forgive me for pashing a mate of his arhhh

do you know where your going first…would be a good idea to start in Melbourne and then work your trip around Australia.

if you like surfing and swimming then our beaches are the best, all clean and hardly any issues apart from Jaws (if your lucky to see them).
