I would think so because foods that are easy on the stomach are okay to eat when sick... & eating small amounts of anything you can handle is fine.
Whenever i'm sick i've always followed the B.R.A.T diet. Banannas, rice, apple sauce and toast. There all extremely easy on the stomach :)
Applesauce is great for you when you have diarrhea as it contains pectin which helps you stabilize food.
