it's all about what is in and how much of it there is around. if your talking antique road show keep in mind that though they are told 30,000 doesn't mean they will get it. you still have to finds a buyer willing to pay it.
No one around will have them any more, they are no longer made, they are unique and most people have probably never seen them.
Some things are considered antiques because they are old, not many left, rare, or only a few of the objects were made.
Because of it's senility and rareness that's what antiques made so expensive.

People seem to like the history around the item so its very exp.
