Whoever catches the bouquet is supposedly the one who will marry next. Another,....the father walks the bride to be down the aisle to her groom to be, then the father says who gives this bride away,...say her mother and I do.
Some other traditions: the bride and groom kiss when the guests clink their glasses at the reception, the groom isn't supposed to see the bride in her gown before the wedding, cutting the wedding cake and feeding it to each other (usually the bride and groom smoosh it into each other faces. I think a Jewish tradition is when they hoist the couple up on chairs and dance around.
the bride wears a garter belt the father-daughter dance the bride has to wear something old,new,borrowed,blue the money dance(people go and pay to dance with the bride)
I wouldnt reccomend throwing rice because my teacher had rice thrown at her wedding and a piece got into her ear, and now she is deaf on that ear.
If your on a beach, the bride and groom hold hands and jump off the dock into the water in their dress and tux
