Am I too young to have a child?

I could be pregnant,am I to young, im 18 19 next month,only problem is the lad doesnt want kids and hes in the army and we aint together.what should I do?

That’s your decision. You were old enough to have sex and not use protection, so you should be old enough to handle the consequences. No one can decide this for you, you are 18-19 years old, you are very capable of getting a job and supporting a baby. It will be hard, but if you work hard and try you could do it.

As for your decision, no one can decide but you. You have 3 options. Abortion :Terminating the pregnancy, you should feel no guilt in deciding this, if you feel it is the best option for you. If you feel you are not ready to hanlde a child alone or that you could not support it financially, by all means, abort.

Adoption: Carry the baby for 9 months and give it up. Remember though, adoption is a very selfless act and is very hard for some people to do. Your carrying this fetus in you for 9 months, your whole world revolves around it for 9 months, you will become attactched to it whether you want to or not. You have to decide if you are selfless enough to give it away after this 9 months

Keep it: The ideal option if you feel like you can support this child both financially and pentally. Being a parent is expensive and emotionally draining. You have to give up your life for this child. No partying, no going out, no rash decisions, everything you do revolves around the child.

No One ever feels like they are 100% ready…children dont come with manuels like appliances…be nice if they did sometimes…lol but the thing is, being a parent can be the most scariest thing in the world because it is the greatest responsibility we will ever be given, yet it is the greatest joy too!

Well myself being in the Army and having my son at 17 it was extremely hard because I missed out on a lot of his life so far because of all the schools and training and now deployments we had to go through.

Not the smartest choice to have a child while a parent is going to be gone a lot. It is too hard for someone that loves their children more than anything to handle.

Mandyloo, giving abortion as an alternative suggestion and then saying dont feel guilty its okk? But in advising the option to adoption you say its a hard decision because you’ll be attached to the baby? Yes, she may be attached to the baby, but come on…as you said, adoption is a selfless act…what is abortion? MURDER!
Dont do what is “convenient” to you…do what is RIGHT!

LIKE IM A MOM OF 2 AND IM 20 I HAD MY FIRST KID WHEN I WAS 18 AND IM GOING TO TELL you ITS NOT EASY BUT ITS WORTH IT BUT IF you know your NOT READY FOR THAT RESPONSIBILITY DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BRINGING THE BABY TO DIS WORLD OR KEEP THE BABY CAUSE THEY DONT HAVE FAULT IN ANYTHING THEY DONT ASK TO BE BROUGHT AND ITS NOT HIS CHOICE IF HE WANTS A KID OR NOT ITS UP 2 U
