Should I get an Alienware Computer?

I hear theyre the best for gaming, and they look sooo good.

Answer #1

Ahhh, yeah,if you play a lot of games you will love this one…I suggest an Alienware or-if you can afford it-a MacBook Pro…Otherwise,an Asus would be great as well….

Answer #2

id recommend buying the all teh parts your self and getting someone to build 1 for you…

if you cant build your own or know anyone that can then get an alienware.

ive had had a look on their site at a few and their nothing to shout out about.

Answer #3

yeh my bfs friend made his own comp hes like a ‘hacker’ lol .nothing to shout about?

Answer #4

their not that powerful.. the 1 i looked at which was the cheapest only had an ati 5670 and for games thats a no no as their only 128bit memory interface which means that for games you olny get gd performance at lower settings. of course you can overclock it for a lil extra boost but, yeah, build your own… youll get a hell of a more powerful rig if you buy the parts yourself and itll cost a lot less than a grand.. that was the standared spec, if you wanted more powerful components you will have to give dell more money.

Answer #5

I would steer clear of alien ware. First off they are owned by Dell, so you are getting a dell with ‘Alienware’ slapped on the front, and the price doubled. Second they have a bad habit of taking mid-range parts, over clocking the hell-out of them, and then calling it a high-end gaming machine. Causes them to run much hotter than they should, greatly decreasing the life of your computer.
