I’d tell myself to go to bed, or get off.. but it never works.. right now I sed I’d go to bed 1 hour ago, and its 3am… anybody got any good ideas how to stop this?

Just set a time limmit on how long you want to be on the computer. I’m pretty much addicted to mine so I probably wouldn’t be a great example. But, you need to control your time on the computer. I don’t get off the computer until bedtime which it all depends on what time I go to bed. Like one person said, check out the site for alarm clocks. Never thought of that myself! What a neat idea! Good luck and if you live at home with your parents, they can set a time limmit on how long you should be on the computer. There are other things you can do. Maybe you can do after school activities, or get involved with something in your community. Go for walks, hang around with friends of yours, your family, ect. When I’m not on the computer, I’m out and about with friends, or, if I’m not feeling well, I’m pretty much cooped up in bed. Anyway, hope you can take our advice. It’s hard to break the habbit of being on the computer. I know the feeling.

problem is.. one of the friends is the one that I play with so late :P and if I get a program it will piss me off a lot. but illl look into it

Answer #5

There are programs you can get that automatically shut down the computer after a set time.

I’m not sure where you can pick one of these up, but it’s worth looking into.

In the end, you have to get a control on your own addiction - can you ask a friend to help you out?
