It is possible to become addicted to anything. Whilst not everything causes you to become chemically addicted to it, you can become physically, or psychologically addicted to anything. If any stimuli relieves a feeling of stress, suffering, or simply sadness, it is quite possible to begin to need above said stimuli. Take alcohol for example. People become alcoholics not because there is some addicting chemical within the alcohol, but because the effects of the alcohol either relieve some feeling that person harbors, or it lets them forget their problems. This can be very tempting to one who is suffering psychologically. Not every addiction has to be this macabre, however. Sometimes, if a person is lonely for a long period of time and another person comes along and nullifies that loneliness, that person may become an object of addiction. Anything that makes life seem less monotonous can become an object of one's addiction.
That so wierd O.o I was watching this show and this guy became like addicted and obsessive over this other guy even though he was totally straight and it got me thinking
It is possible to become obsessed with any person, place, or thing. It's an indication you have the problem...it's not them.
