a lable thats looked down upon

what are even the significances and outcomes of people that stoop low to embrace and to call themselfs emo? why put out there and make it so obvious?? why even lable yourself when you should know youll be looked down upon?

I dont want anyones sass from anyone in this this is just a qustion if you really dont like it , just be the big person and dont answer

Just like cutting physically, it has become an effective “mental knife”. Think of it as social masochism.

..of course this means nothing to someone with no understanding of emotional psychology.

I agree that people just want to belong. But that specific group “emo” to be looked down upon is still being looked at. And ty was just being rude, everyone messes up sometimes even more so when about a touchy subject. Don’t let people get you down honest questions and honest answers are a thing that most people don’t think about.

And judge much? All labels give people a sense of belonging to group. Considering it is part of human nature to want to belong, I don’t see what the problem is. It’s a trend, fad, stereotype, whatever, and it will fade too. The kids will grow out of it, and in the meantime no real harm done.
