I would love a 4 day school week. they wouldn’t have to make the days longer… there’s really no study that says a certain amount of time in the classroom is paramount for learning. (past a certain point). the only reason school is 40 hours a week is because most jobs are 40 hours a week.

I’ve actually heard that they’re trying to push out a 32 hour work week for the whole country… which would be absolutely wonderful. 1 extra day to get things done.

If they made school only 4 days a week, they’d have to make the days longer. I think the kids get enough vacations, holidays and minimum days already!

yeah japan is smart, but they don’t include the retarded kids in their scores, and we do. we include everyone.

that and the attitude towards education is better there than it is here… you’re not going to be able to teach someone math no matter how long they’re in a classroom if they just don’t want to learn it.
