Smile at them, stay calm, shrug it off and ask them whether they have something to say to your boss. Tell them you can note it down and give their complaints to your employer.
These people are angry at your company. They do not know you personally, and there was something at your workplace that angered them. So they are rude towards you because you are the representative of your company. These people do not mean you, personally. Because they do not know you. There is no reason for you to be hurt by their immature behavior. It is very inconsiderate of them to blame you for whatever happened to them, because you are just doing your work there. Still, they do not mean you personally. Shrug it off. Those folks don't think.
Welcome to retail. No mater how well you do your job there will be a certain percentage of customers who will be unhappy. I would like to tell you that it gets better but it really doesn't. You should refer you most abusive customers to your manager. You should try to put bad experiences with customers behind you and move on. In the beginning I remember fuming for hours after having a difficult customer. With experience I got so I could handle it better and even sometimes laugh about afterwords.
