Yes if you're suseptible to fungus. Some people are immune to it. However, once you get it you have it for life because fungus is ringworm. You'll have to use a cream to keep the breakouts of itchyness and irritation away. It will be chronic once you have it.
yes, you can catch athletes foot from wearing other peoples footwear (IF THEY HAVE athletes foot that is!)

Not if you were wearing socks. How long did you wear his shoes for? Did your feet get sweaty enough for them to get wet? I wouldn't worry. Get the foot powder and just sprinkle it in your socks for a few days, to be on the safe side.
