Yorkie breeding

Ok so my mom just got a 12wk old yorkie male and I have a 2 year old female. How old does a male have to be in order to mate???

To breed ethically and properly, there are a lot of elements involved in the breeding process. You should really wait til he comes into his second heat.Im saying this because my dog just gave birth today and we had to wait til the mom and dad had 2 heats to make it successful
