Will hair bleach turn my hair orange?

I have light brown died hair, and I just bought bleach blonde hair color. My natural color is dirty blonde. All I want is blond back... Any kind. Will the bleach turn my hair orange? Or some thing weird?

it will probably turn it orange. I am sitting here right now with yellow/orange hair I bleached friday. I think the only way it will not turn your hair orange is if its blonde to begin with. but go for it! and if you dont like it, give it a week and bleach it again : ) good luck

I'd prefer if you had a salonist do it and she can dertemine the color! Also because salonist have different colors that won't be at like the places where you get urs!

It all depends on what kind of bleach you are using... in order for you to successfully get the blonde you are looking for you are going to want to use a bleach with a blue undertone... (when you mix the powder and developer the powder should be blue for best results) the best kind to buy at stores is frost and glow... another reason a lot of peoples hair ends up orange is because they freak out and don't leave the bleach on long enough... if your hair is naturally dirty blonde like mine then you want to leave it on up to 45 min. you want the hair to look banana colored... once you wash the bleach out if there is still an orangy or brassy tone go buy a SEMI PERMANENT hair dye in a medium or dark ASH blonde... the cool undertones in the ash will counteract the redness from bleaching...

I have been bleaching my hair Barbie blonde for about 20 years now and I've dyed it almost every color there is - and then back to blonde. I've made every mistake there is to make and have now got it down to an exact science and have been able to go blonde anytime I want with no problems or breakage. I use bleach a lot.. it's really bad for your hair, but it works atleast. If your hair is already dirty blonde, and you put it in, then it will probably be some type of gold, with an orange tinge. But in about a week, it will be really orange, because it's not hairdye.. it's bleach. you need some kind of dye with it as well. Believe me, the same thing happened to my cousin the other day.. except she had half of her hair black before that :S
