YEAH ITS TRUE I ALSO HAVE A WII AND AS A MATTER OF FACT IM PLAYING MY METROID PRIME ONE GAME ON IT RIGHT NOW AND I ALSO PLAY MANY OTHER GAMECUBE GAMES ON THE WII TOO..

they have an attachment you can buy to convert the Wii controller into a GC controller, but i don't know if its required. Turns out... I don't have a wii. D:

if you open the top front panel on the wii it will reveal ports for the gamecube contollers!! freakin awesome! I can play all my old games on a hot system! haven't figured out the wireless gamcube contoller but my wire one works perfectly! in fact im playing luigis mansion right now on the wii!!

Yes you can play gamecube games on it. You can just use your regular gamecube controller

The Wii has the function of being able to play Gamecube games, but you will need the Gamecube controller to do so.
