Why would isp recommend it's intrnet over the internet

Asked by gorving2 about 1 year ago, 1 answer.

I logged on to my ISP after a lapse of 6 months and was directed that I was using the internet instead of the intranet? Can anyone explain why?

Thank you for your response. By using the intranet instead of the internet does this mean I would not have full access to all of the internet? Are there any advantages to using the intranet? Thanks.
