What would it be like if the internet wasn't invented?
Would we be writing our information down manually? or, read books for research? Also, imagine if we didn't have computers. Then we'd be stuck right?
This is a random question I thought of.

We'd probably be doing both. writing and reading. You know, what they did before all this was invented.

You can't exactly read books if it's not typed or copied. Someone would have to write them all day, over and over again. Because of the huge lack of technology if that were true.

When I was younger we didn't have widespread access to the internet. At one time only universities and defence companies were on the net. I still used word processors, spreadsheets, etc. It was just more difficult to share information. I remember in the 80's logging onto BBSs and doing basically what we do here; ask questions, chat, etc. It wasn't a worldwide community but it was the same general thing.

I got my first access to the internet in '87. I took my 3rd computer programming class and we used Pascal on a VMS Vax that was on the internet. The first thing I discovered was Usenet news. Then I found ftp and gopher. Life was good. Of course in a few years the World Wide Web hit the scene and the rest is history.
