Why wont my laptop charge?

Ok so I have a MacBook Pro and for some reason when I plug the charger in, the color dot on it only turns a dim green and when I click on the battery symbol in the top right corner it says battery is not charging why is this? the other side is plugged...

in and both sides are connected in the middle does anyone know why this is?

try searching on apple.com or myfirstmac.com or take it to the shop and ask : )

its probably because some wire isnt properly place in the charger? but I would consider getting it checked by a professional because stuff like that you cant really fix but it might be the charger so I would also suggest buying a new charger

take your battery out and wipe it down with a dry cloth. then if it still doesnt charge push that little button that has the green lights next to it. it sort of looks like this o... the little dots tell you how much battery there really is. maybe its charged but your computer's telling you otherwise.

my mac does the same thing. just leave it for about an hour, connect it and then it will start charging again... or at least that's how mine works.
