there might be something wrong with the battery in the laptop or with the cord. I would get it checked out, if it is still under warranty they should fix it for you for free.
Have you tried another outlet to make sure it's not the outlet that isn't working?

take it to an elctronics place, preferably were you bought it and ask someone in charge of electronics what is wrong. as long as you have the warranty and the receipt, they cant turn you away.
also, you many have 2 buy a new cahrger, maybe that is broken

See if a different charger works, and if not take it to a store that can fix it and specializes in electronics.. :]

I have had this happen in the past and it was the motherboard that needed to be replaced. Guess the motherboard wasn't relaying the electricity to the battery for charging.
