Why does congress have the lowest rating in a decade?

Why is it that Congress ratings are the lowest in a decade - lower than the President ?

I don't think voters were voting for Democrats; they were voting against the status quo. Since nothing has changed much and everything seems like 'business as usual' voters are not happy.

I consider myself a democrat, however, given their track record so far & (in my view) failure to set a timetable for Iraq OR limit spending on the war, I'd like to fire Nancy Pelosi myself (I'm also Californian). She's done a horrible job so far, and hasn't been pushing nearly hard enough on the issues that got her & the other dems elected.

The Republicans have been fighting back, sure, but so far the democrats have yet to execute on their campaign promises. If they don't do something soon, they're all likely to get fired when elections come around again.
