If you say you're not of a biblical religion you're a satanist?

Comment for jester_x's profile Asked by thex13thxchild about 1 year ago, 13 answers.

Why is it that if you say you're not of a biblical religion you're a Satanist? Sorry, my religion has nothing to do with the bible meaning I'm not a Satanist either, which is an off branch of Christianity. When I say I've nothing to do with it, I've...

nothing to do with it! Not rebellion, not a d@mn thing!

Why is it that if you're not Christian or of some biblical religion you automatically have no morals are a potential criminal? Or why is it that our religion don't hold morals to them?
Just because you believe in something doesn't make it real, just because someone else believes in something else doesn't mean their a bad person. Everyone has some type of morals they live by!
Why is it that they don't want us to judge them without knowledge but they judge us without having the slightest clue of what they're talking about? Perhaps people should start practicing what they preach, shut their mouths, OPEN their MINDS!

***I've never heard any of that - you're simply an unbeliever***

Once again, you fail to pay attention. And no, it doesn't help... as usual.

You just technically answered your own question(s)...

Do you want our input, or did you just need a moment to rant?

I've never heard any of that - you're simply an unbeliever - a sinner as we all are - in your case admittedly, not saved...Hope this helps !!

well believing as we do , we need to be calm, and accept that not everyone truly knows what we are all about- I feel that is how it should be, witch persecutions have been going on forever- but tolerance is beginning to prevail.
a few people I have worked with have noticed my pentagram hanging around my neck, but only one started calling me devil man- I had a nice friendly chat with him and explained things in simple terms, he understood a bit more clearly then.
things have become a bit more tolerant, but it is the strength and knowledge that I am on the right path for me that allows me to take criticism with a grain of salt.
ignorance is everywhere- but I hold no malice towards anyone for not comprehending my beliefs.
we need to just politely explain things when asked, and continue on. and gather strength from our beliefs
we need to lead by example by demonstrating our morals, by demonstrating that we are a valid religion, and being unshaken in the face of those who do not understand.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY- I DO NOT ANSWER TO ANYONE TO JUSTIFY MY BELIEFS.

generally christians/catholics, ect
dont respect other peoples religions
they try to change you, try to tell you how great god is, that you need to be saved, ect
but they dont ever stop and say,
thats awesome, I respect that you dont beleive in anything
they never do that, because they dont undersetand, and theres no respect
without respect, other people wont show them any respect
thats why theres a lot of stupid fighting about people forcing there religion down peoples throats, and people who dont want anything to do with it
in my opinion, people who follow god are stubborn
not because of what they choose to beleive in, but because of there thoughts on everyone else who doesnt
I understand I've probably offended a whole minority of people there
(not majority, because 3 and a half billion people dont follow it)
but there needs to be more respect

no, just because you aren't a christian doesn't mean you are a satanist. I think that christians often see things as being polar opposites. like...if you don't believe in j.c. then you MUST worship the devil. that isn't really true, but sometimes we jump to unfair conclusions. sorry...it sounds like you've encountered some ignorant christians. may I apologize on their behalf?

There are zealots everywhere, no matter what religion or group and judgment seems to be their trade. If the guilt and fear they try to peddle doesn't work, they switch to negative summarization. If you won't believe the way I do, you must be evil or stupid
This is just part of life. Try to ignore them. You know your heart, they don't. And from what I have found, they have no interest in knowing your heart, they just want the conversion.

oh sorry, I must have read that wrong.

but like I said, I think some christians think in polar opposites mode. if it's not good, it must be evil. which really is not entirely true. non christians should be seen as opportunities to share with and fellowship. even if they refuse to enter the christian religion, fellowshipping and friendship (no matter what you are) should still be happening.

also, for some horrible reason, it's easier to hate then to love. it's hard to look past differences to see the similarities. know what I mean?

I hope this helps. let me know if you have anything else to talk about happy

To me, if one worships Satan, that makes him/her a Satanist.

If one practices Wicca, that makes one a Wican.

If one believes in God, and his Son Jesus Christ, and has experienced the new birth, that makes one a Christian.

That seems pretty simple to me, is that not the way you see it?

Silverwings,
I couldn't have put it better. Why can't everyone see things your way?

I thought the question was regarding Christians who think that if you don't believe in g-d or jesus that you are evil and of satan.
