I totally understand why people dont understand religion

Asked by dollar15 about 1 year ago, 16 answers.

I know there's a lot of people going against homosexuals and you have to be this or you have to be that to be a christian, but I beleive these people are very confused about hearing about that a loving God's hates what they can't help. im just saying, I...

am a guy and wanted to be with a guy why can't I? why are little kids condemn
because they are homsexual or something like that, even if believers were trying to convert someone it would be the wrong approach, and we will be the evil ones, We as christians are not supposed to condemn our brothers and sisters for what they do cause we are not perfect, if they knew that they could trust in God for anything they do, and he will be there for them and understand them, who are we to determine what God says, how do we know that it wasn't people who were just upset at homosexuals and added it after the bible was written.I beleive that God understands these people and if we understand and we tell them about God in whatever they're growing threw they will began to know him more and more and beleive that whatever they're going threw God understands, but because a lot of people are ignorant to them they usually block the fact that even God exist threw science and other methods, but I believe God did play a role, but I believe our main goal is to find out with prayer what God really wants for us and not only rely on man's word, because man is very decitful so that's what I have to say ~Peace out

one of the main things you need to understand though
is that if you expect to be respected by othger people in what you beleive
then you need to respect other people for what they beleive as well
saying that being homosexual is okay is a great start
and its fantastic that you realise it doesnt matter what sexuality a person is
it doesnt make them any less human
but you need to understand that its also okay for other people to not want any part in any religion as well

EXSAKly!!! I'm strate but you know what ever happened to a free countary the governent shouldent be able to say who you can and can't marry . I mean that would just mean where just terming into a comunist contary. Who cares if your not strate that doesnt mean you don't have the rite to love the ones you love and marry the same sex.
We are all people and we have the same rights strate or gay, and cristains are sposted to exsept every body no matter what. But I'm not crisiaine and people are vary cristain around the bible belt and that's why I hate going to school bec thay treat me like I'm not human or something.

***they usually block the fact that even God exist***

That's not a fact... facts are proven. God existing, is simply what you BELIEVE.

Homophobia does not originate in religion. Bible/Qu'ran quotes are used to justify it, but that isn't the source.

The source is plain old narrow minded bigotry.

I do not believe god, in the religious sense exists.

I do not see why people are SOOO freaked out about gay people... this is coming from a straight guys mouth.
Even though I do find many of them (in a VERY general sense) to be somewhat stuck up or arrogant, it doesnt change my view.

but because a lot of people are ignorant to them they usually block the fact that even God exist threw science and other methods

But there's no evidence whatsoever that god exists. And even if one does exist, there's no evidence for _which_ one exists. So why _should_ we believe in him/her/it/them?

the fact that even God exist threw science and other methods

that simply isn't true.

I believe in simple truths. 2 men getting married won't destroy, or make my marrage to my wife any less special. any marrage that it dose make less has more problems than gay marrage.

I don't understand how a strait person can detirmine if homosexuality is natural or not. If your not a homosexual how would you know if you bore that way or not? because of a book? wouldn't it make since to ask a gay person? I mean they would know better than anyone else.

In other words, what I hear you saying is, I want to be my own god.

I have no desire to hear or follow your word.

I want to rewrite or completely do away with, what you have written for us to live by.

This is rebellion, pure and simple.

Man throwing his fist in Gods face, and telling him.. what he wants.. and desires.

Not the other way around.

This thinking prevails in an atomsphere where Gods word is not honored, and mans will is elevated... above the will of God.

You can do what you want to do, but, be warned.. you will pay the price for your sin.

Really, where did anyone say that?

I want to rewrite or completely do away with, what you have written for us to live by.

You still have to demonstrate that it was actually divinely inspired in the first place. That's not the default position - or else, you have to show all _other_ religious writings are _not_ divinely inspired.

You can do what you want to do, but, be warned.. you will pay the price for your sin.

Charming.

Regarding political issues... YES. The Bible and God have NO relevance. Besides, NO WHERE in the Bible does it forbid homosexuals from being married.

The only thing you lack is a bomb-vest...

I think that what dollar15 is saying is by no means going against the principles Christians are supposed to live by, I think he is right. We shouldnt be judging others for how they choose to live.

I dont accept what you think is written for us to live by in the first place. Yes everyone sould be able to write their own life. and live as they see fit.

Is it forbbiden for someone to have a thought that isn't like whats been drilled into their head what the bible said? Maybe this is what he got out of it.

First of all God does not hate you. He separates himself from the wickedness of man. Is this a question or are you trying to find a way to justify your lifestyle? I am just another sinner like all the other commentators. If you are refering to the Christian religion please consider that what you are doing is telling God that you are right and that he is wrong. This post is not to condemn but for you to realize that in order you to follow a specific God you must realize that he is right 100 percent of the time, otherwise he would not be God.

give it a rest tseirpheht,
how do you know it's not your God's will to have him right this?
Besides God makes gay people, if gay plp are wrong, then wouldn't God be wrong?
