Do you rate other people's answers?

I like to know if people like my answers to questions but nobody rates answers. I want to know if you liked it or not. so why don't people rate them, all they have to do is click on either yes or no. do you ever rate answers, why or why not?

sometimes when the answer really impresses me...Routinely NO

If I think an answer is the best of the bunch, or if it really impresses me, I rate it. But there are loads of questions where many of the answers are good ,and I wouldn't say one was better than the others, so how do you choose?

I think that sometimes people don't notice the rating system, because recently two people left comments for me thanking me for my helpful answer, but they didn't rate it as 'helpful'. I kind of wish they had, but it's their business, isn't it, and I was really grateful they'd bothered to leave a comment anyway.

I sometimes forget about it. People seem to rate my answers though. I usually rate an unusually horrible answer.

you can rate an answer that's bad too, you don't have to say that it's good, you can say it's bad. you can also rate three questions in one page so that you don't have to pick.
