Why doesn't god help the sick humans if he is so great at all?

Asked by tara477 4 months ago, 9 answers.

It's pretty obvious, why doesn't he?

I tought he's one tough guy that can do anything but yet he didn't help my grandfather! He died in god's hands!

HE doesnt help us because HE doesnt exist.. ITS CALLED EVOLUTION the only reason we have God is because naturally as human beings we tend to falsely classify what we dont understand. For example Greeks say the sun rises because The god Helios rides around the earth on his shining golden chariot. (because they didnt know at the time) however everyoone is entitled to their own opinions.

well god didnt make him die. it was his time. god cant just let everyone live forever.
its the cycle of life. its not right when people blame all the mishaps in there life on god.

its part of life. not everything is all rainbows and fairies.

im not in any way trying to be insensitive but people get sick, there are tornadoes, and earthquakes and its ALL a part of life.

I guarantee you your grandfather doesnt blame god for his death as you get older you will understand that its how life works. we all are going to die and im not saying it cant be a sad time but we have to accept it.

if it was his time to go, then it was his time to go. you should be happy that he is out of this awful world. and that he is now in his presence. maybe God did it to open someones eyes. people will ignore God and He has tried everything to get one to see but they keep shunning him away and sometimes it takes something great to get their eyes open. my grandmother died a few years ago. it was a tough time yes, but im glad she is with him where there is no more sorrow and no more pain. she is in a way better place that I am and she has a new body with no aches and pains. she can walk so much better and doesn need oxygen. one these days im going to get to see her again. and if youre a child of God, and if he was saved, then you will too. What God does isn always what we want or what we think should be done. if that was the case then we would be God but we are not. it happened for a reason, either one to get him out of here where he wont have to suffer or open someones eyes in the family. whether its to get closer or come back to him. everyones sin doesn only affect them but everyone around them. its a tough time yes, but as I said, you should be rejoicin that he doesn have to live in this sin infested world. and that he can be in peace. It wasn meant or in God's will for him to be down here any longer. he ran his race for God and its time for him to go home. at least he dies in God's hands and not in satan's. instead of blaming God, you should be praying for comfort and for him to help you during this time. he wont help you as long as you are blaming him.

well there is a difference in the bible and other religions like you said Greeks say the sun rises because The god Helios rides around the earth on his shining golden chariot whats the difference the bible never says nonthing like that most of what the bible says is true and its way more logical that we have a maker then that we all came from monkeys and amazingly we still have monkeys here today

Fau - ***I tought he's one tough guy that can do anything but yet he didn't help my grandfather! He died in god's hands! Why doesn't god help the sick humans if he is so great at all?***

I asked the exact same question when my Father passed away and that is where my scepticism started! I tried to see logic into all this religious explanation and it simply didn’t make any sense to me, it made me furious hearing: “Lish54 - *** if it was his time to go, then it was his time to go. You should be happy that he is out of this awful world. and that he is now in his presence. maybe God did it to open someone’s eyes.***

I started to read more on the origin of religious and about all their believes, only then it made sense on why people reason the way they do! Luckily youth of today are teached to use more common sense than previously and as long as people belief their success are due to a higher being and their failures is because of their own in capabilities, their personal development would stay behind! Our futures are in our own hands, we must decide to make a success out of it and we must decide if we are going to stand up and try again after life kicks you in the front teeth! We are human, make mistakes, the only difference would be if you learn from it and avoid it next time! ;-)

A few of my close family has passed away in the meanwhile and I have come to the conclusion that a human body can only take that much pain and setbacks. We are lucky today to have science and technology to try to cure some or most illnesses; where in fact our loved ones would have much less of a chance even to reach the point which they did, a few hundred years ago in the same situation.

Lish54 - *** if it was his time to go, then it was his time to go***
So who is pushing the start and stop button on the stop watch according to you? Pretty cruel to even think that way, isn’t it?

***you should be happy that he is out of this awful world. and that he is now in his presence.***

Why do you think this world is awful? This world could be a wonderful place to be, depends on what YOU make of it !!!

*** and that he is now in his presence.***
Sounds selfish to me!!! Doesn’t “he” have enough people already to keep him company?

*** maybe God did it to open someone’s eyes.***

Wooow, worst of it all !!! How can someone be so cruel as to take a loved one away to teach someone else a lesson??? Why do small babies die in their Mothers arms, why do a 7 year old get cancer, suffer that much in his short life, why do a innocent person obtain Aids by a blood transfusion ... and please don’t give me that crap of: we don’t always know gods ways ugh!

I'm sorry he died. I am going through similar as my sister and father both are dying of terminal cancers. I think what we don't understand is that they are the lucky ones -- going to a place much better. But for us, it's hard. Although you will never have a better chance for growth (character, spiritual) then in a time of such sorrow. I think God want's us to turn to him and just forfeit all the control we try to have and give it over to him. If we didn't have moments of pain, we really wouldn't develop much depth -- would we? Just be smiling robotic happy shallow people. Sometimes we need the painful times, it makes us think and be really human. Sorry for your loss but I believe your grandfather has reached a better realm of life.
