Why do you think so many people are closed minded

Just thought I would see some other peoples opinions on this.

Because as children they were taught things by their parents that made them close minded.

I believe that if a person is open minded, they allow for the possibility of their core beliefs in life to be shaken, if you will. They see themselves as a target, being attacked when someone questions if the very ground on which they stand can support them.

Generations is apart of it. We have 4 generations Traditionalists, Baby boomers. Generation Y, Milliels (I know I spelled that wrong) We all have different opinion not only based on our beliefs but also the year/century we were born affects that.. so hope that helped...

It is possible for the heart to wax cold - no longer capable of recieveing the truth.

Because if they don't understand it then they don't want to hear about it, or it's automatically wrong.
