Why don't that many people get on here like they used to?

there used to be so many people that would get on this website, now it doesnt really seem like that many people get on here now, like about a year ago, people would get like 20 comments of advice on each questions, and there were a lot of good questions...

being asked and a lot of really good replies and advice, but now its not like that!!!

I knowww you wish it was still like that. .I hardly get any responses now. but I still answer questions anyways cause I love to help people. even if it is not returned.

 
Many are back in school or having to work more because of the world's economic situation.

Just because you don't see as many Answers to Questions doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of people viewing the site.

Also, because of time constraints, many people are just being more selective in the Questions that they Answer.

An aside: I notice that you have only asked one Question and given only one Answer in the thirteen months that you have been on the site!

A lot of answers is actually a bad thing...what you want is: a good answer. Isn't that part of the reason you'd use the site? I know that's a lot of the enjoyment I get...not from getting a huge list of answers.

As for traffic, yes, we're down from our peak in July by about 50%...but, oddly enough, returning members are up from then by more than 10%...in other words, while overall traffic is down, people returning to the site is up. Personally, we're more concered with the percentage people that return, and whether or not it's increasing over time - as that's what makes a big difference in our site.
