Why do women buy so many types of handbags?

Why do women buy so many types of handbags? My wife's aunt was asking about some kind of prada or gucci hand bag - or was it a tote bag or shoulder? Who's idea was it to have so many different styles and types?

in my opinion, it's a conspiracy to get women to buy more stuff...

You just angered the fashion gods!! We carry so many different kinds of bads bc each one has a purpose. If you going to dinner and only carrying a cell and some makeup, you don't need a big bag. If your doing errands and need more room, you carry a bigger bag. As for names....well, I am a label whore. I love prada, LV, gucci, spade......women just want to have bigger, better stuff than other women. When I carry my Vuitton bucket bag, I secretly think in my head 'haha. I spent more $ on my bag than she did!'

I'm not a handbag person. I buy special ones to match evening gown and such for special occasions. When I go out normally I do end up taking a small purse but I don't see why there is a need to spend lavish money on a designer name when one from walmart has the same function.

And does anyone else hate those gaudy looking sequin purses that EVERYONE has? I just want to take a match to them because they blind my eyes.

the reason we have so many bags, is for all the different outfits we wear, trying to impress you men, so dont complain, it makes us look good, for you! there's ya answer, we do it to impress men, so buy us more.

Woman love to be at the fore when it comes to fashion. They love to keep in pace with the latest trend and needless to say accessory accentuates your sense of fashion and gives that extra boost when you hit the road. I'm not a handbag fan I have one playboy handbag and a nice pink beaded bag from spain. I wouldn't pay £140-£3000 for a bag that's just stupid spending all that money . I'm a fan of designer clothes not big designer clothes because it means my dad paying for it all. I like designer clothes like: Hooch, Tommy Hilfiger, Firetrap, Golddigga, Bench, Henleys, Pineapple, Playboy, Miss Sixty, Bbay phat, Animal, Diesel, Morgan, French connection, mckenzie, Fred Perry and that. I be getting a job soon I would love a pink car lol wow my dream car would be a Lamborghini it be so mint but lot of money I could save up for one lol take me a few years or 100 years. Loads of girls are shoes and handbag mad lol I be getting shoe mad because I need some I have £191 quid . I love MAKEUP . I might just get some GHD straighteners my hair already naturally straight . Not that straight though .
