Why do people call themselfs emo&scene?

Lmfao. seriously. umm I have nothing against them. honestly, I don't.
Just everyone I meet who say they're emo I ask what emo is and it's the same answer everytime..
an emo is a person who doesnt care for life, they cut, they usually wear skinny jeans,...

they listen to emo music, indie music, grindcore, death metal. ectect.
o___o;
And 'scene' kids... has anyone notice that all of them claim to be bisexual or gay.
Scene to me is just an upgrade to emo. D;

Emo: people call themselves emo because they are emotional. The reason why they hurt themself is because they believe that emotional pain is worse than physical. Which leads to cutting. Doctors prove that it's a way to release endorphins and stress. I know, it's true. I used to be emo myself.

Scene: It's just stereotypical, as well as emo. They like the style, and being a bisexual or gay scenester is like acceptance. You aren't judged when you're scene and bisexual/gay because that goes along with the stereotype. I however, was also scene once, but I am straight. Your sexual orientation really has nothing to do with it, just another detail.

Eh I know that. I, myself get called scene. I just don't claim myself to be a 'scenester' or any of that.
It's just pointless in my eyes.

very different than emo and btw not all emo people cut themselves and also emo is just a cheap intimation of goth in my opinion

mainly because majotrity of kids nowdays have no idea what those words mean
Emo is nothing more than a style of dress and a genre of music
it has NOTHING to do with cutting (self harm)
depression (a mental disorder)
suicide, eating disorders, ect
because feelings and emotions play NO part in any label or stereotype
which is what majority of the kids who talk about emo and majority of the kids who call themselves emo still don’t understand

and scene is just an attention seeking style

kids and teens call themsefe a ;label to fit in or be cool, then when they grow up there usually grow pout of that faze
im sure there was a time when YOU called yourself a label

Emo- emos look more on the negative side of things and do what they want. They CAN were skinny jeans, black eye liner, black t- shirts, convers or vans. SOME cut but that has to do with deppresion no emo. Not all emos cut and not all cutters are emo.

Scene- scene is the same as emo but those that call themselves scene are more into the emo look as a fashion trend. They are more upbeat and see the bright side to things

these are just stereotypes and how this is viewed where I live so no one get mad at me and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about

Emo = Little 8 year old girls who wear black and pretend to be sad
Scene = Teenagers who can afford to cut layers in their hair and still pretend to be sad.

Not much difference.
