Why do girls want to be so skinny?

I don't understand why gurls want to be nothing but skin and bones...I hate gurls who say they are so fat meanwhile they are skinny. Wouldn't you rather have some meat on your bones and something for guys to grab on to? These gurls need some help!

well im a skinny girl naturally. im dont consider myself sickly skinny but I know I look good. I cant wear ANYTHING and dont have to worry if my butt is too big......lol

I just think that its a teenage thing..
Most of us want to be as skinny as those girls on t.v and in magazines and whatnot.
The boys in todays society are also intrested in very skinny girls and toget the boys you want, you want have to sacrifice your extra 10 pounds.
Skin and boned girls are disgusting, I dont know how they cant see that for themselfves

im thin, not skinny, girls just want to have that small stature so they can look good on the clothes they obsess about. im 15, 5' 8'' and 140 Lbs. and happy

You say boys like to grab on to stuff but if your to fat boy dont even want to grab you so girls like me would love to b skinny just to get boys to start with

Well, I am sort of skinny. I always complain that I have fat thighs or that my stomach is completely bloated. My friends always tell me to shut up because they say I'm not fat at all, and that I am actually pretty skinny. I guess we do that because we see someone that looks better than us or is skinnier and we think we should look better. It's all a matter of insecurity.
