Why do christians hate jews...

when their Idol was Jewish.

I totally admire, and agree with, all the Christians here who say they don't hate people, and specifically shouldn't hate Jews. However, you have a point in that, over the course of history, some people with the label 'Christian' have done hateful things to Jews and it's right to look into that.

During the Crusades, which were a really, really horrible example of how misguided 'Christian' zeal can be, Jews were expelled from or massacred in European cities. The excuse by various kings and lords was that the Jews had crucified Jesus. The truth was that the Jews were wealthy and most European kings owed them a lot of money (they were allowed to be bankers whereas Christians weren't). So the cynical fact is that they were persecuted because people hated their differences and their wealth/success, not for any religious reason.

Hitler had a lot of similar things against Jews - they were different and successful. Once again he found it handy to stir up hatred against someone who was different, and once again he used a 'they crucified Jesus' excuse, which was totally despicable, particularly given that he wasn't a Christian at all, but interested in stupid Arian-type mythologies.

Since then there have still been some ludicrous examples of persecution against Jews such as not allowing Jewish people to join golf clubs etc. This really beggars belief - we fought against Hitler but we still had non-Jewish clubs? Again, I don't think it can be claimed to be a Christian/Jewish thing, but a cultural Us/Them thing. No excuse but no spiritual grounds to justify it, either.

True Christians don't hate anybody. Jesus said to love your fellow man. He didn't specify race, belief . . .

ok but you still cant deny that some christains are pretty hateful.

there has always been a struggle with the world against the Jews. It is in the Bible. But as for true Christians we should not hate them for we are in fact spiritual Jews.

well I'm a Christian but I still believe that anybody is entitled to believe in what they want to and I don't hate anybody. Theres also hateful jews out there too. Anybody can be hateful regardless of their religion man.

yes jesus was a jew. jewish law states that if your mother is jewish, you are jewish. I don't think most christians hate jews...many have lost or never had the understanding that jews are the chosen people...many are fearful of what they don't understand...many think that anyone different or not believing as they do are going to hell...
Any person who claims to be "christian" and hates or professes hatred towards a religion, sexual orientation, race, etc. is not a christian... they are just wearing christian "outerwear"...they do not fool the rest of the world, only themselves...

You are splitting hairs here. Its not that Christians hate people, its that people hate people. It has nothing to do with them being Christian. They are just a person who hates Jews who happens to be Christian.

Well Christians dont hate anyone and as far as them saying they are thats about all they do is say to make you believe if their actions dont speak Christian then they arent . People like that need to be prayed for . I am sorry to sound judging them but as God said its by the fruit you bare , well they bare none . They say actions speak louder than words so . then there are no such things are christain according to every one & their veiw of true christains & never were. Things such as slavery, prejudice(notice that most of the people who are prejudice are Christian), the wars "in the name of God" the "holy" crusades, witch burnings, sacrificing of animals & people(it says so in the bible none the less, look it up if you don't believe me). So according to everyone's view of what a Christian is, there's no such thing. They were always committing some act of violence through out history.

I might be a Christian. I love Jesus Christ, and I try to follow his teachings, but I dont hate Jews. Hate is a big word. Hate is the word that some liberal, and conservative extremists use when the opposition disagree's with their view's.

PS, it was the Romans who crucified Jesus, anyway, not the Jews. So the whole argument is wrong anyway.
