Why did she insult me and my softball team?

Well I was in the locker room and a girl happened to notice that I was wearing my softball uniform and she said,'' Yeah I remember that team. You guys sucked!" because her sister was on my team so she has seen us play before. And what I did was I agreed...

with her and said," Yeah we did suck pretty bad, we hardly won any games" and I acted like it didn't bother me. Then I turned my back and she said,'' My grandma could play better than they did". And then one of her friends laughed and I was shocked because she always seemed really nice. But why did she insult me and my softball team and why did she have to add that grandma comment right when I agreed with her?

if I were you I wouldn't take it too personally. maybe she's just angry that the team didn't do well. because of the fact that you agreed with her, it made her feel more ok with going on with the conversation. I don't think she meant it directly towards you, there was obviously something bothering her about the team & to make her feel better about it she made a comment like that. you can tell if she was actually trying to insult you if you notice attitude and anger in what she was saying but don't let that affect you.

Who knows why she said it, but shes a brat for saying it. I would just shrug it off, does she play softball? those kind of people are just out to get a rise out of someone and thats probly what she was trying to do, ignore her or tell her that your team might suck but its not all about winning. oh and tell her to jump off a bridge lol
