Where should i go in japan?

I am going to Japan for the first time on business in September. I have a week on my own to travel around and explore. Where should I go, and what should I do?

Hi,

You can go to Kumamoto, which has a huge castle.
Mount Aso is an active volcano.
Beppu is a hot spring!
Hagi is a castle in a samurai district.
Oh, and don't forget Mt. Fiji!
