It can last from 9 to 21 days. Quick solution would be to lend your male dog to a friend for a few weeks. OR you might seriously consider getting them fixed since this will happen about twice a year.

there are two obvious answers here:
1. when she goes out of heat.

2. when you fix him, her, or both.
