I found a link on google but it sounds like you have already searched on google. PVC is a lightweight material which it looks like you tried, but you may want to look into cast aluminum or titanium. I am not too sure where to find these materials easy but it may help you redesign the chair you have already made.
Hello;
What did you end up finding for your dog who needed a wheelchair? I'm fostering a 4lb Toy Poodle who's lost the use of her back legs and have just started a search.
How can I give you my email address in private? :-)

Is there a wheelchair that will fit a dog that is less than 8lbs.? I have been called a toy dog and it is in my name (toy fox terrier), however please inform your vets that dogs are not toys.
I need a wheelchair that actually fits well. Dog carts online are so expensive and there is no guarantee that I will like it. The one my daddy built for me works, but I don't like the size of it. I keep hitting things and it makes it more difficult to run or lay down. K-9's need a way to feel less handicapped from tragedies that affect the legs. There are plans I have went through recently but none meet my needs. I need something lightweight and built for a dog that races around even when her rear legs barely move. I drag myself most of the time and it is hard to lay down in the chair. Anyone have any inventions or ideas to help a little dog out?
